Mission-Outreach

We are interested and involved in reaching out to those in need and providing in whatever ways we are able.

Ecumenical Food Pantry.

We contribute weekly to the local Food Pantry. There is a basket in our Narthex in which we receive food that is delivered to the Pantry each week. In addition we participate in the Boy Scout and Mail Carrier food collections each year. We also gather food at Thanksgiving that goes toward not only regular needs but also the Thanksgiving and Christmas Baskets that the Pantry distributes. The picture to the right is some of the food collected and dedicated as a part of a Sunday Worship service.

Quilts and...

In areas of need - poverty, disaster, or whatever - there are a variety of things that can and need to be provided. One ministry of Lutheran World Relief is to provide quilts for people in need. These quilts are produced by persons in local congregations and sent around the world where they are needed. We also gather material for school kits and other kinds of care materials as needed. Offerings for disaster relief, community ministries

We give regularly to the work of the larger church and toward particular special needs as they arise and for ongoing community ministry/service agencies.

Flea Market

Twice a year we have a Flea Market. We open the church parking lot to a variety of vendors and local organizations who share their resources/products with people in the community. The proceeds from this event goes to help local organizations with their outreach/care activities.
